The League of Women Voters of Arizona mourns the tragic acts of gun violence targeting elected officials and public servants.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Hortman and Hoffman families, and to the communities they served with courage and integrity.
We also stand in solidarity with those affected by last week’s shooting in Tucson.
We stand united in grief and resolve.
Targeting those who serve is an attack on democracy itself.
We must reject violence, protect public service, and defend democratic values.
