Membership Survey: Review of LWVAZ 2023-2025 Public Policy Positions

Dear Arizona League members,

We need your input to shape the LWVAZ’s Public Policy Positions for 2025-2027 at the 2025 LWVAZ Biennial Convention. During each LWVAZ Biennial Convention, delegates adopt the positions that will direct us for the next two-year cycle.

The League of Women Voters of Arizona's public policy positions authorize our advocacy and guide our actions on various issues.  Public policy positions reflect ideals embedded in the mission and goals of both the Arizona and National Leagues. Since times change, we always consider revisions to current policies and requests for new positions.

To assist delegates at the convention in deciding whether to retain or revise a position, please take a moment to answer all the questions in this survey. For reference, you can review our current positions here: LWVAZ Public Policy Positions 2023-2025 Adopted 2023, amended 2024.docx.pdf

 Steps:

1. Review each public policy position indicate whether it should be retained or revised.

2. Suggest new positions. A public policy position is adopted only after a review committee has thoroughly examined an issue, informed other League members about it, and received approval of their proposed draft from delegates representing the membership as a whole.

Your feedback is crucial for maintaining the vitality and relevance of our public policies. Please complete this survey by March 31st, 2025.

Thank you for your time and contributions to this vital endeavor. Please direct questions to Kathleen Edelman, LWVAZ Public Policy Committee Chair at lwvazadvocacy@gmail.com.
